How to install a Standard Package

On this page, you can learn how to update your phone using a standard Cyanogen OS Package.

  1. If you've not downloaded the update on your phone itself, connect your phone to your computer and copy the file to the Download folder
  2. Turn off your phone
  3. Press both the Power and Volume Down buttons at the same time1
  4. You'll should see "Cyanogen Recovery" on the screen of your phone.
  5. Tap on "Apply Update"
  6. Depending on what you see, tap either on "Choose from SD" or "Choose from Emulated"
  7. If you had to tap on "Choose from Emulated" in step 6, tap on "0" or on the folder of your user account (if having multiple users on your phone)
  8. Tap on the "Download" folder (or any other folder you've placed the package in)
  9. Tap on the package — be sure to select the correct one!
  10. Tap on "Yes — confirm installation" to start the installation
  11. Wait for the installation to complete. This may take up to 15 minutes, so be patient
  12. When it shows that the installation has completed, tap on "Reboot system now"
  13. Congratulations, you've just installed the standard Cyanogen OS package on your phone!
1 If you have a ZUK Z1, you'll need to press the Power and Volume UP buttons instead.
